RN or LPN full-time opening at the Tri-Area Community Health Center in Laurel Fork. Medical office experience and experience with EMR a plus. Qualified Candidate must be self-confident, a fast learner with active listening, and strong communication skills. Candidate must be willing to work as a team member of a multidisciplinary team. Current Virginia nursing license required. This position has the potential for a four day work week. Pay is based on experience and education.

LCSW, LPC, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist - Grayson County Public Schools, VA
Tri-Area Community Health is looking for a full-time Licensed Clinical Psychologist, LCSW, or LPC for our new school-based clinic being developed in collaboration with Grayson County Public Schools. The position includes providing in-person counseling with Grayson County Schools students and staff and technology-based services to other Tri-Area sites and community partners. The BHP office is based out of Independence Middle School. The position is year-round, full-time, Monday-Friday, no weekends. The staff member will provide integrated behavioral healthcare through warm hand-offs, counseling, and be involved in outreach. Preference will be given to those with experience providing integrated care, preferably in a Federally Qualified Health Center and/or Free Clinic. The position will include collaboration with medical and pharmacy staff. We offer a competitive salary and benefits along with the opportunity to apply for student loan repayment through the National Health Service Corps. The site is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway, and has easy access to lakes, rivers, and a variety of outdoor activities.

Non-Clinical Opportunities
Behavioral Health Educator and Outreach Worker - Independence, VA
This position is primarily responsible for working with school district employees and students in Grayson County Public Schools, community members, and community organizations regarding the behavioral health of youth. This person will provide assistance and training to school employees, health education to students and family members, and outreach to the community. This is a full-time year-round position (40 hours per week), which may include time during evenings and weekends. Although there may be some work at a Tri-Area Community Health site, most of the duties for this position will be in the schools and community and daily travel throughout the service area is anticipated (mileage will be reimbursed).
- An associate degree in human services is required for this position with preference given to those holding a bachelor's degree in human services or education.
- Two years of work experience in education, health care, or human services is required.
- Knowledge of behavioral health, positive attitude toward persons with behavioral health concerns, and willingness to work with youth who have behavioral health issues is required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact professionally and gain trust with culturally diverse individuals, are required.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism is required.
- Computer skills are required.
- Access to reliable transportation is required.
- Successful completion of a satisfactory background check is required.
- Prior experience in a health educator and/or in an outreach worker or similar role is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with the service area is strongly preferred.
