School-Based Licensed Clinical Psychologist, LPC, or LCSW - Remote, VA

Tri-Area Community Health is looking for a full-time Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Psychologist to provide telehealth counseling to students and staff of school divisions in our region. This is a fully remote position. Online counseling of patients from Tri-Area clinics may also be provided. The position is year-round, full-time, Monday-Friday, no weekends. The staff member will provide telemental health warm hand-offs, initial assessments, and follow-up sessions. Preference will be given to those with experience providing integrated care, preferably in a Federally Qualified Health Center and/or Free Clinic. The candidate must have experience working with elementary age children, with a preference of experience doing so by technology. The position will include collaboration with medical and school personnel. We also have several school-based clinics - Galax City Public Schools, Carroll County Public Schools, and Grayson County Public Schools. We also have pharmacies that are open in Ferrum, Laurel Fork, and Fries. Behavioral Health Educator and Outreach Worker - Independence, VA

This position is primarily responsible for working with school district employees and students in Grayson County Public Schools, community members, and community organizations regarding the behavioral health of youth. This person will provide assistance and training to school employees, health education to students and family members, and outreach to the community. This is a full-time year-round position (40 hours per week), which may include time during evenings and weekends. Although there may be some work at a Tri-Area Community Health site, most of the duties for this position will be in the schools and community and daily travel throughout the service area is anticipated (mileage will be reimbursed).

  • An associate degree in human services is required for this position with preference given to those holding a bachelor's degree in human services or education.
  • Two years of work experience in education, health care, or human services is required.
  • Knowledge of behavioral health, positive attitude toward persons with behavioral health concerns, and willingness to work with youth who have behavioral health issues is required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact professionally and gain trust with culturally diverse individuals, are required.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism is required.
  • Computer skills are required.
  • Access to reliable transportation is required.
  • Successful completion of a satisfactory background check is required.
  • Prior experience in a health educator and/or in an outreach worker or similar role is strongly preferred.

Maintenance Worker - Laurel Fork, VA

Tri-Area has a full-time opening for Facility Maintenance to join our maintenance team. This position is responsible for routine and preventive maintenance and repairs of TACH buildings and grounds to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff and ensure the efficient and uninterrupted operation of our healthcare facilities.

Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred. Experience and knowledge of general maintenance and building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry). Must be knowledgeable about machinery, tools, and relevant equipment. Familiar with fire and life safety codes relevant to healthcare facilities. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals. Needs to have the ability to lift heavy objects, work on ladders, and bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.

Must have reliable transportation.

Hours are primarily Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
